Welcome to Travel Things on Point! I’m Meri, and I’m thrilled to have you join me on my travel adventures.
One of the unique aspects of my travel story is that it often involves three generations – my spirited senior mom (Nana), my middle school son, and me, the avid planner and storyteller. Together, we embark on a quest to explore the world, and celebrate our shared experiences along the way.
As a travel enthusiast, I find immense joy in the art of planning. I love the research involved in crafting itineraries which consider the diverse needs of my travel crew and I find the ‘before the trip’ enhances the magic of the journey.
The on ‘on point’ in my blog title refers to being well-prepared. I like planning. Our travel experiences don’t always go as planned though! Seeing the world and our shared encounters through the lenses of multiple generations has taught me to appreciate the moments more, including the pivots when things aren’t always on point.
Whether it’s navigating train travel, riding in a pedicab, or finding great local food (teenage son = lots of food!), our travels are filled with shared laughter, mishaps, learning, and love.
Through this blog, I invite you to join us on our escapades, and hope to share insights on how to make travel a fulfilling experience for every age group.
So, buckle up! Adventure awaits!
