Since Miami is about 2 hours from our home, we choose to drive over the day before our flight to Italy. We used a long-term parking website to leave our car for the duration of our trip at my favorite Miami Airport Hotel, the Hilton Miami Airport Blue Lagoon.

Just like the name describes, the long-term parking rates are very economical. The website allows you to reserve and pay online and provides you with instructions/code to self-park at this gem Miami airport hotel.
Hilton Miami Airport Blue Lagoon has regular shuttles to the airport, plenty of onsite parking, a restaurant onsite, a beautiful pool and, for the airplane lovers, a great view of the regular flight patterns.
